How about a pretty little R65 LS? Fun little machine more capable than you think.

    New Guy, Educate Me

Funny you mention those as I was looking at one last night. I donít know much about them. They look kind of neat.

For an unfaired airhead, the under-sung holy grail keeper, for general, solo-rider use, is '85-'87 monoshock R80.

Of all the Airheads I studied closely, the R65LS was the most appealing. And for those who prefer more power, there is even an off-the-shelf big-bore kit available that will bump it up to something like 850cc, at a surprisingly reasonable cost.

R65s‘ short-stroke engine design was reputed to be somewhat buzzier than the Type 247 engines of the other /7 bikes. The 750 and 800cc/7 bikes were very, very smooth.
