That's my play as well. I also like to string them along to waste their time and keep them from going after someone else.

An old but great story on scamming the scammers: http://pdf.textfiles.com/books/thepowerbook.pdf

A very long read but a great conclusion.

When I sold a K bike a couple years ago, "My Scammer" was working on an oil rig off shore and they had a bad internet connection/no phone. But wanted to know if I would accept Pay Pal and if I didn't have a Pay-Pal account, they would help me set one up. Oh...and a third party would come pick up the bike for them...which they were buying for their brother...

So do they. It is a two way street.

I had a similar experience and since I used to work on oil rigs for real, I can tell you that there are plenty of ways to make a phone call, send a fax etc. There is no way that rigs are out of communications in any way shape or form..

I hope Nicholas Perry has enough to buy my bike too. I got an email from him also.
