Pulse generator speedometer wire polarity K79RT 1991

It looks as though on my 1991 K75RT I may have to cut the pulse generator wire and solder in a new piece. BMW changed the coupling and I have a mismatched couple of wire connectors. My question is do I have to worry about polarity?

Walter,

I don't BELIEVE so, based on how I think it works, but I don't KNOW.

If it doesn't work, PM me.
