R1250RT - Wire routing for top case

So I'm reading the instructions last night for the Top Case installation and it says to route the wire through a "wire guide" for the life of me I can't find this guide underneath the platform the case sits on.

Any insight as to where this is? Or do I just do my best and tape it?

On my '18 with the 49L fully equipped top case, I ran the wire on the right side, along the outer edge of the rack, under the rear of the seat with a wire "clamp" under one of the rack mount bolts. It tucks under the case well, no issues. You can see the wires if you are paying attention, but they are not obvious. I also have a J&M CB radio with the antenna mounted to the top case so a couple more wires to deal with, running along with the top case wiring.

Just looked at my 1250RT that came with a powered top case from the dealer and ther is no wire guide. The cable comes out of a forward-facing grommet on the bottom of the case and runs, unattached to anything, underneath the passenger seat. Picture isn't great but hopefully it helps.

thanks guys - I appreciate this. My routing needs to change slightly but I appreciate you all confirming that I wasn't crazy on this particular topic....
