Disconnecting GPS power lead

I don't want to move the BMW GPS mounting bracket on my '19 F850GS...I want to remove it. Where/how do I "unplug" the bracket power cable? Looks sealed on bracket itself. Does it unplug from other end? Can't use a tank bag with this handlebar mounted bracket in the way.

My rt has a fitting to disconnect behind gages, hopefully your bike has a connector also.

The factory installed NAV prep unplugs fairly easily. The connector is up under the right side of the front panel. It barely visible if you get your head down to tank level and try to look under the front panel on the right side. My connector is white on the male left part of the connector (the cord to the nav holder) and black on the female right side of the connector (part of the motorcycle wiring harness). I have seen a photo of a connector where both parts were black so your mileage may vary. I have posted some photos on the F850GS Forum website.

The release button for the connector is on the black side of the connector (right side when installed) on the bottom. It is a tough spot to get your hand but it is doable. I ended up grabbing the white end with some bent nose needle nose pliers. BMW sells a $12 cap that goes on the wiring harness end of the connector. I used electrical tape to cover the end and then used some stick-on velcro to secure the loose piece up under the front panel.
The cord that runs from the NAV holder is held in place with two rubber cable ties and 3 zip ties. Sorry for the TMI response, it's a five minute job that took me way too long to do. It was easy once it was done.

In theory, BMW makes a non-TFT F850GS, but I've never seen one. The diagram that shows two ends to the nav holder cord might be for the non-TFT bikes. My NAV prep (TFT) has only a single connector.

Some good info Those connectors are always easier after you've seen one....or done one.

I may put mine back sometime, in a better location, but for now I’m just wanting it removed.

Finished the job. Thanks for your help. Mount is fine...but everything from triple clamp forward is now totaled. Should have waited till after antibiotics finished. But still got tank to put the bag on
