Can I use my heated vest using cigarette lighter adapter in my 1984 Mustang?

When it gets cold enough in Connecticut and the roads are lined with snow, I still like to ride in my 1984 Mustang convertible with the top down. Is there an adapter that I can purchase that will allow me to plug in my heated vest with Euro fitting that I use on my 1985 K100?

How many amps does the heated gear draw, and what is the Mustang outlet rated at? Just because you can plug it in, doesn't mean it is a good idea.

If it were me I would run a new fused circuit from the battery with a 10 amp fuse and 14g wiring to a new outlet that the heated gear will plug into. A few bucks for wire and fuse holder and a socket cheaper than an adapter.
