Am I just a bit touchy in feeling if a person asks for help on the forums, they should respond with a follow up as to what solved their problem?

Looking at the answers/information given by myself, and other members, I see a sincere effort to answer the question.

I had an experience in another forum I was insulted by the moderator of the forum never to be apologized to for his insult. Oh yes, his fellow moderator felt I should just grin and bear the insult. I don't mind an occasional stupid remark or insult from an ordinary member but a moderator should know better than to insult the members. Why deal with jerks to solve a problem? No thank you, I have ended my ties with that particular club.

I DO NOT see the attitude above existing in the BMWMOA forum. My hats off to our moderators and members.

So, getting off my ramble and back on subject, if you post a question regarding a problem with your bike, at least be courteous enough to let those of us who gave you advice or tips as to what the solution to the problem was.

Hey, I don't know everything and I love to learn new things. St.

I am adding this to my "list of today's things to be enraged about"...it is right behind "those kids throwing rocks in the pond" and "why are my neighbors' mowers so loud"? LOL!

I try to as well but I’m sure I’m guilty of forgetting to, I have had plenty of 640 questions over the years. I totally agree the moderators should know better.

As for mowers my neighbours has just started bothering me in the last year or two.

Another thing that bugs me, not so much here but on other forums, is someone will buy something, post a picture of it and never give the brand or style name, or where they bought it. Plus they never respond when asked for more details.

It would be like posting a pic here of some special tool or accessory rant how great is is, no name, then nothing but crickets....

It’s terrible on tech forums. Often people ask a question and people reply and you never know if it fixed the problem. It makes the threads useless. I don’t care about being thanked just to preserve the knowledge base.

Completion of a thread helps all. I like to say “thanks” when I see it.

OK, OK, I apologize for being slow responding to suggestions given to me last Thursday. I have posted the solution was this morning over in the "Brick" threads.

Obviously I am guilty of occasionally not replying with what worked.

Yes it would be proper etiquette if everyone with a question replied with the outcome, especially when many suggestions are given addressing their issues.
