Whatever they tell you at Garmin, do NOT believe them. You in fact CAN pair AirPods to the VIRB, and it records GREAT audio!!
Very handy if you are going to make a MotoVLOG.
1. Go into the menu of the VIRB
2. Select "Wireless"
3. Navigate to "Bluetooth"
4. Turn Bluetooth on.
5. Lift the lid of the AirPods
6. Press and hold the AirPod pairing button until the white LED flashes
7. On the VIRB scroll to the Plus Sign - Add New
8. Pair the AirPods
Once paired, you can unpair them when recording via the menus, freeing the AirPods for other use.
