    Canít remove rear u-joint form f/d 2001 R1150GS

Iím in the process of replacing f/d pivot bearings with bushings from Anton Largiader.
The Clymer manual says to gently pry the u-joint out of the f/d. Iíve tried gently and not very gently. It doesnít move. What am I missing?
Also, there were no instructions included, so Iím not 100% sure which way the bushings go inó-they have a shoulder and a washer.

    Help, please.

There are some tools you can buy but, this method takes three hands.

Take two pry bars spaced 180 degrees apart and put gentle pressure on them. With your third hand, take a soft face hammer or dead blow and drive the coupling down and as soon as it has been hit, pry up fast.

Thank you sir! It worked and now I begin the process of installing the bushings.

It appears the side with the narrow washer faces the outside of the f/d housing, so Iíll give a shot this morning.
