Helga the schnellpanzer died on the TAT a few years ago and I have a new Helga 2.0

The 2nd one came with the BMW luggage (made by Touratech). I still have the old Helga's luggage which was the much stronger Zega Pro luggage also by Touratech.

Here's the question. Should I buy the brackets for the Zegas and sell the BMW boxes or keep the Beemer boxes and sell the Zegas.

The brackets are roughly 400 bucks I've been told so I'm going to lose a small amount of money that way but I've been told the Zegas are one hell of a lot stronger. Given I'm planning another run at the TAT and some BDR routes that extra strength might be an issue.

Worth it or is the difference negligible?

Appreciate your feedback.

you may want to rethink your luggage options for doing the TAT and BDR routes as hard boxes can do serious damage to your body on get offs. There are plenty of broken leg stories out there from that. These days it seems most offroad folks are going to soft bags to save limbs. Mosko Moto makes some of the best in the world, look them up and see for yourself.

Just my $.02 but if me would keep the BMW boxes and sell the Zega Pros. I had BMW Adventure boxes on my 2012 GSA and they were damn sturdy. In addition I like that they have a cutout for he exhaust. But that is just my thoughts.

IF I were going with soft bags I would give a hard look at these Lone Rider semi-hard bags.
