My wife and I are leaving in a week to see wild horses along the east coast. We will be riding from Atlanta to Morehead City, NC and then taking the barrier islands as far as possible. We plan to visit Cape Lookout, Ocrakoke, Cape Hatteras, and Corolla in NC then heading to Chincoteague, VA for for the wild horse roundup and swim from Chincoteague Island. We will take ferry's to Ocrakoke and Hatteras and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Has anyone done this route and anything we should look out for, other than sand on the road and traffic? Will we need reservations for the ferry's?
