Just a reminder, because it looks like some people think that they would get a "Jo Mamma" style free-for-all sub-forum, like over on advrider.com.
NOTE: This sub-forum "Politics & Motorcycling" would be for the discussion of politics, but only in a narrow focus of how it affects motorcycling, e.g. riders, rider clubs, dealers, vendors, manufacturers, etc.. It would not be a forum to discuss any other type of politics. This was explained in the opening post.
(BTW, as I've stated several times in this thread, I don't want politics or religion discussed on this forum, no matter how limited.)
The problem is, politics has infected every area human activity. Whether visiting the washroom or enjoying the forth of July. And certainly motorcycling. Check out the thread about Europe. Such as it is. Because it's about politics. So avoid it as long as we can. The day's coming when you stop yer bike at a stop sign and get physically attacked by whomever for whatever. I don't want politics here. But I'm afraid it is inevitable because someone several decades ago opined, " All is political." Recommend "Explaining Postmodernism", the book, if you want one of just many targeting how we got to where we are. Impending developing chaos. Or just keep heading out for a camp site out and a beer, while you can. Recently departed Fonda made some films about this stuff.
I'm not pessimistic as this morning while stopped at a red light on my super silver '84 KRS, a small boy on a bicycle rode up and yelled, " Is that a BMW!?" Thumbs up. And I thought, "One for the Gipper." Can I say Gipper? However, I may be wrong. Two cents. FWIW.
