    K1200S Fuel Line Quick Disconnects

I've never had the cover off my fuel tank. Nor I have been present when it has been off for maintenance. Is there a quick disconnect setup on this fuel tank? Is it plastic and prone to failure? If yes, is there a recommendation for an aftermarket replacement?

Thanks in advance for your invaluable advice!

I saw one K1300S that had the plastic male end of the quick disconnect break and have heard of others breaking or leaking.
On both of our K1300Ss I replaced the male ends with metal QDs from Beemer Boneyard.
You need to lift the front of the tank to access the QD.
Your K1200S will be the same.

I did not replace the female end because I did not like the idea of screwing in a metal part into the plastic of the fuel pump flange.

You can see the white plastic male QD in this picture.
