2019 R1250RT Any R1250 public maintenance info out there yet?

Hi All,

I just performed my 6k service on my 1250RT which means the 12k is not too far off. Has anyone out there in MOA land run across R1250 maintenance specific information that is not in the owners manual? Info such as valve clearances, procedures on the new Hayes calipers, etc. I've been checking in with the dealer on RSD (Repair Service DVD) availability, but nothing yet. Also been scouring the internet and forums as well. No joy so far.

JVB Productions has been a source on DIY, thinking by now he has a 1250 or is working on this:scratch

He is active here, look for JimVonBaden or search JVB Productions

I've been looking for the same thing. I'll definitely be watching this thread.

Hopefully, we can turn this no-joy situation into a "tally". :)

Take care,
Austin

Yeah, I sure hope so.

I finished the 6k on the RT yesterday. Topping off the coolant, clearing some old fault codes (keyless ride gas cap issue), various checks, and setting the service reminder to 12k with the GS-911 WiFi OBD2.

I've had two instances where the gas cap didn't open. I took the front plate off to fuel the bike, put it back together. The next day it worked just fine and the cap is now easier to close. Other than that, I've had zero issues so far with the new RT in 6200 miles.

Thanks for posting! My next question for myself is, why in the hell wasn't I able to find it in my search... "ShiftCam" was one of my search words...

It was easier for me because I knew the thread was out there, plus I knew it was a thread and not a post.
I started by looking for Jim's forum name.
I clicked on his name and looked at the list of his threads.
