When will the rally app be available?

I'm confused about the need to "search". Tap on the 3 bars, tap on the + sign for About the Rally, scroll down to seminars and tap on that. The whole schedule opens up...with more scrolling. That's the way to get to...no searching needed.

When you get to the site on your phone, tap on the 3-bars in the upper right. A drop down menu appears which allows you to scroll looking for the seminars...it's under About the Rally. Tap seminars and then continue to scroll to find what's going on. It's hard to see everything that way, but at least you can get to the schedule.

After this, I am going the STFU, but three clicks and a ton of scrolling is not good UX (user experience) or IA (information architecture).

12 years ago we had a team of volunteers posting photos live from the rally... It wasn’t fantastic... but for the times, better than a sharp stick in the eye. We actually started doing this in 2001, Live from Redmond.

Maybe we could rekindle this effort? It would be something that made some people feel like they were a part of something instead of just being a customer. :dunno

I was just outlining the steps...I wasn't endorsing it. You read Ted's post where the return on investment for the earlier app wasn't there. I'm sure we have experienced people in the club who could assist in this sort of thing. But it may be difficult to coordinate.

Those stories are another example of nothing comes free, sad but predictable regarding the app pitfalls. I can't recall the last one I attempted to download.

As far as the Rally app for those who liked it...sorry to see that. :dunno

Apps

Des Moines app didn’t work on flip phones so things won’t be to different over at air central:)

I think the real question is what will the rally app do for me? Either way I'm in line to depart Wednesday for the rally. See you there. I think I'll be wearing a KTM racing ball cap so pretty east to spot.:nyah
