    Brake Lever Return Spring

I recently purchased and installed Iium's adjustable brake lever for my 2018 R1200RT. The lever works nicely and installation was a snap. I'm very happy with it.

Alas, while later adjusting the lever height, and due entirely to my own error, the brake lever return spring came off the bike. I'm looking for some guidance on its correct position when reinstalling it. Please refer to the attached photo for specifics on my questions. The photo is looking up from underneath and slightly aft of the spring.

    1. The bottom end of the spring forms an open-ended hook. Should the open end face aft (as shown at point A in the photo) or forward?

    2. Where does the top end of the spring attach? I've got it on an as-cast nub or protrusion, point B in the photo. It seems happy and secure there. I also note there is a finely finished pin higher nearby, point C in the photo. I tried installing the upper end on it but it didn't seem secure there.

Any guidance folks can give would be greatly appreciated.

    Ride long and prosper!

Never mind. John from Ilium got back to me and confirmed that I have it installed correctly.
