This is a 1980 R65. Not an LS, as far as I can tell. I suppose the LS has the fairing is the difference?

I think the asking price is a bit high, but probably flexible. What would you ask for it?

They were actually very nice motorcycles. But they were never appreciated by the "bigger is better" contingent.

I've already had to pass on a couple of K1s because I don't have space in my 1400 sq. ft. shop to park one along with my 6 K75Ss and my wifes F700GS among other toys. But if I had room, a K1 would be my choice.

Not a bike I'd own to ride a lot, just love the styling and always thought it would be cool to own one. I'd have nowhere to keep it if I did find one though.

The one I donít have any more....

Foolishly, I sold this bike because... well... I am getting older and I was afraid I’d kill myself on it!

    Now I deeply regret this!

One we do have, one that would be fun if we both could ride it

Nice pic, and yes, at 36" that saddle is way up there. This is Dave Anderson's (Anderwerks BMW) HP2E supermotard conversion, on 31A in the Kootenays. It's pretty nimble:
