    Joann Fabrics Rocks! Zipper repair

$3.99 for one and several styles available. I bought 5 to replace all these $%#@! zipper pull tabs that break off on my clothes. I also saw that they have a zipper repair should the zipper body (the combining unit?) were to blow up. All this without a new zipper having to be sewn in. What a great store, like Home Depot for fabrics.

A bit of “zipper lube” a couple of times a year makes quite a difference in zipper operation. Available at most fabric/notions/marine stores..........”Food Grade” silicon spray will also help but I don’t find it lasts as long.

Since I'm cheap, I've been replacing my various pulls with those round springy key-rings; they come in many sizes and are easily available (I have an Ace Hardware nearby, they always have 'em).

I agree, that's what I had been using along with key fobs of various sizes. Another place where they have a large selection of rings is your local locksmith shop. I got some really small rings and then used them with a few zipper pulls I clipped off an old broken knapsack. They all work but the ones from Joann Fabrics are much nicer.

Another "feature" of the key ring is that if the original pull breaks out from the body of the zipper, you can thread the key ring in thru the old hole.

I had a few of the reflective "MSF" pulls a while back; while the reflective idea is nice, I really hated how they flopped around in the wind.

You have the nice stuff, I was using a cable tie after the replacement pulls I got from Aerostich both failed.
