Hi, I think I understand the cam tensioner function and symptoms. But... are there three of them? Is there a right side and left side as I think there are and why does everyone always suggest the left side be fixed when I hear my clicking on the right side.

Now assuming I do the repair, I have seen indications that some have solved the problem by inserting a plug into the old cam tensioner to account for the lost rebound or spring strength .. Does anyone simply sell the replacement springs.. ? Are the motorcycle cam tensioners different in any way from the car tensioners?

Thanks.

Paul
