The start of the 2019 World Superbike Season has two BMW1000RRs running the 13-Race circuit with respectable first race in Assesn, Netherlands finishing 6th and 7th.

Shaun Muir Racing oversees BMWs race program, previously of Aprilia's Works Factory Racing. Tom Sykes, former Kawasaki works rider and 2013 series champion and Markus Reiterberger, three-time German Superbike champion and 2018s Superstock 1000 champion are BMWs team racers. Markus previously campaigned in WSBK for BMW privateer Althea.
