Question How do you ..... convert from Lowered RT to Standard height?

    Looking at raising my factory-lowered 2009 R1200RT

what pieces am I going to need? (other than shocks)

(alternatively - anyone have a lowered rear strut at a reasonable price point?)

You will need a new center stand and side stand (they are both shorter on the lowered version) in addition to the shocks.

    Thumbs up

Ok, thanks. That doesn't sound too bad.

The factory lowered RT doesn't have ESA and you are in for sticker shock if you try to buy ESA shocks (I think the feature can be activated by your deal if you also buy the left-hand switch cluster). Call Ted Porter's Beemershop. He seems to be the aftermarket suspension guru.

    Welcome to the forum

You just want it taller from a riding perspective or are you scraping parts?
Maybe the regular saddle instead of the lowered version may be a cheaper route. The RT seat used to have adjustable mounts as well on the regular set up, maybe the low version does not... My 05 did

You'll need to change the footpeg scrapers too.
