2016 K1600GTL - A tad bit drafty!

Hi....over the winter i bought a new to me 2016 K1600 GTL Exclusive, i moved from a 2013 Kacwi C14. I find that on the BMW i have a draft on teh back of my legs at highway speeds, this was on this mornings drive in. 36 miles of highway 75mph, 39 degrees. I never had this draft whiel riding my kawi, has anyone noticed the same and what did you do?

wow thats the best you can come up with! my issue is on the back of my upper thighs not my feet, never had this issue on any bike from the past or current century. I didnt know if it had something to do with those open cavities under my seat where it looks like there should be side covers?

I've never experienced this phenomenon.
AeroFlow makes winglets that attach to the upper fairings. Some say it cuts down on the wind turbulence considerably.
You might want to try those.
Also, Sargent makes side covers for that open area that bothers you.

i have both sets of aeroflows on the bike, will look into the item under the seat. At 75mph in 30 degree temp the ait is pretty still and comfy, i just found this odd that the back of my thighs were cool. I will look into the other item, hopefully the temps will move above 40 in another month, my only concern was if it is drafty there then when it rains most likely thats were the water will be hitting.

You might want to take them off to see if that changes anything....

i have a fix, i turned the seat heater all the way up, my last bike didnt have these fancy features. Also sort of helped that it was 40 degrees this morning rather than 25 for my ride in.

Does anyone have them and if so did they make any difference or is it purely cosmetic?

I had them on my 08 GSA and they made a big diff. Don't know about your bike.

I find when I'm riding solo there is a little turbulence from the top case so I remove it when I'm alone. Not sure that's an option on the GTL. Just my two cents.

i can easily remove the top case on mine, however being a GTL Exclusive it has teh arm rest that would remain behind. I have noticed the turbulance fromt eh case, i assumed thats what is causing this anyway.

Im going to order a set of the side covers and see how that helps.
