Post Your Trip Pictures

That is an amazing rig. Am I correct in thinking the rider sits in a wheel chair?

That's correct, I edited my post.
We also saw him at Turner Bend and noticed the ramp was power operated.
I asked if there was any type of power assist to steering and he said no.
He mentioned it was a lot of work on the curvy roads.

Got out for a 3 day run looking for roads I'd never been on.

The end of day one did not end well

This is a new bike for me, I'd looked at the tire before I left and knew it was a bit worn but didn't realize I was on a full sport tire. Oops. I was many miles from home in the middle of nowhere. My shop had a solution and the next day was spent trying to deal with it.

A wee town at the end of a road to nowhere

I wrote up a little ride report on other forums if anyone wants to see the whole story I'll put up a link.

This pass was gravel up until last year.

Small tornado hit, the new Nissan Frontier gave its all to save the Lincoln

About 1/3 of the tree limb that was on the Nissan.
No trips still have about 10 trees to clean up:)

Sorry to learn you were on the receiving end of a tornado. That looks like a big tree on the Frontier....and you have ten more to deal with. At least you are okay and you appear to have the equipment to handle the job.

Empty coal train headed back to Wyoming. We meet a couple dozen full coal trains that day headed east. The longest train had two engines in the front, three in the middle and one in the back.

June 13th, Dinosaur NP and head to Gunnison Co.
Our hottest day at 107 F. 2nd hottest day was 104 in Wyoming. The Sand Hill hit 100.
I planned on short days because we have not been riding this year and also figured the July heat would be a problem

We had planned to stay at Gunnison 4 nights but changed to 5 nights because I thought it would be too hot to go to the Gateway area that 5th night.
I posted the Cottonwood Pass, Slumgullion Pass, and waterfalls pics earlier.

With the wide streets in Gunnison and Crested Butte, areas were blocked off in the parking for tables, chairs and umbrellas in case restaurants were too busy to seat everyone inside.
Thought that was a good idea.
