Quality Inn Gunnison Colorado. Food and booze near the motel but the one block
walk tonight to eat was hard to see because of the blowing snow.
The bikes won't move tomorrow or next day.
There's a dozen of us here from a R1200RS forum.

That was an impressive weather event.

I remember Gunnison for the Spanish Flu quarantine, many years ago.

Certainly, because those 140 "outrun the snow" miles were an adventure.:thumb

I was thinking the same thing!

H and me had to do that in Santa Fe one year when the early season front “sped up”... the hail before the snow had my Sena on overload.:fight

And right after the first photo was taken Debbie was heard to say, "Lee, could you get that bag out of my left pannier? Please?" ;)
Due to a layer of ice it was later the next day before I could remove the snow covering the bags :)
The wind packed ice and snow into everything.

Most of the snow melted today. Gunnison received 13 inches.
I was the only one to venture out for a ride today.
Temps were 40 to 45 F and the roads were mostly dry except where melting snow was running across the road. Streets in Gunnison were a mess because snow was piled in the middle of the streets to melt.
The last four or five miles into town it poured and I ended up with a bunch of sand on the bike.

Next to Taylor Park Reservoir
