Airheads at the Peoria TT race

The Illinois Airheads will have a camp-out for the AFT Grand National TT race which is run on Saturday, August 17.
We will camp at Jubilee College State Park, Coyote Cove camping area - loop A. ( 13921 W. Route 150, Brimfield, IL.) The race is held at the Peoria Motorcycle Club Race Park. http://www.peoriamotorcycleclub.net/ (605 S Cameron Ln, Bartonville IL.) The Grand National TT is the longest consecutive running dirt track race in the United States. There is dining nearby, and we will have a few grilles and coolers for refreshments.
Contact IL. Airmarshal James Strickland for more information. woodnsteel1@gmail.com or 309-251-0877. Last years camp-out was hastily arranged at the last minute, and was declared a smashing sucess. I will reserve 4 R.V. spots for both nights. Based on 4 tents per space, the cost for camping works out to about $9 per night. The campground host were super and worked with us on overflow or alternate camp sites and the camp ground was not crowded.
All are welcome. The report from last years Camp-out is here. https://advrider.com/f/threads/airheads-at-the-peoria-tt-aug-18-2018.1330875/
All the best,
James A....

Peoria TT

I will again be at campout site on Thursday, and will not be going to race on Saturday so fellow campers will not have to worry about stuff at campout.
Last year air central was provided by BSC, we will have something setup again this year that includes a much larger coffee pot and possibly another canopy at one of the other sites. :)
At some point during the campout Airmarshel Jim will read the Airhead Beemer Club Cannons and offer sacred brown water to attendees. :drink:coffee:beer

Little bit over a month until the big event
All welcome at this event even if you skip the race. I will not go to the race so will unnecessarily guard the site while people go to the race.

Airhead Fun

The Peoria TT Campout is next weekend weather forecast now for daytime temperatures in middle 80’s and nighttime temperatures in the middle 60’s with low dew points so should be nice camping. We will have several coolers with ice and stuff to put into said coolers. For people who like to eat we will be cooking a pork butt or 2 also will be enjoying Howard’s very special grilled brats. For breakfast pancakes and some kind of meat . The 2nd annual bagel and cream cheese breakfast with or without onion, fresh tomatoes and lox will be available one morning. :thumb
Good inexpensive fun All Are Welcome

P.S. no BSC this year ( not the same as last year, no guarantees someone new won’t step up )

Home from the TT

Back home I had another great time in the Peoria area. Thanks to all who attended and hope you all had a good time.
