    Will there be a K1600S or K1600RS?

I would really be interested in a K1600S or K1600RS, but I don't think the market for a big heavy "S" bike (think K1200RS) is there. I'm probably the lone customer. BMW could lighten it up a bunch by just putting the necessities on the bike, for those of us not interested in carrying a passenger and the kitchen sink.

I guess the K1600B comes closer to what I would like but the BMW advertising for the "B" is "Take a relaxed cruise anytime." Doesn't sound like "S" or "RS" advertising.

(If this has been discussed before, I apologize and the admins/mods can append this to one of those threads.)

Some of us S folks have discussed the possibility.
There was a BMW Project 6 concept model on display early on. The upswept exhaust looks cool, but no doubt not practical. Would be a fun ride as the oither models are just not my style

VisorDown had an article in 2011 with shots of it:

There's nothing wrong with it. I'm sure I'd be happy enough with the K1600GT. But it's sort of like the difference between the old K1200RS and the K1200GT -- the GT carrying a weight penalty of approx 30 lbs (I think) over the RS because of all the extras.

I'm not a fan of large fairings.
I like the style of S and RS fairings and I like being exposed to some wind.
