Anyone who has turned a wrench on most anything mechanical likely knows the name Haynes manual. It's originator, and still board chairman, has just passed away.
Seems he started out by helping a friend repair his bug-eye (frog eyed, for you Brits) Sprite, documented the process, and the rest is history.

Big DITTO! Would not surprise me if the owner savings in labor is well into 7 digits, in addition to the satisfaction of "fixin' it myself."
