Anyone out there with a K1200s with a GPS unit mounted? If so, where did you mount it, and if you can provide any pics that would surely assist ..

I don't use a GPS however I have seen them mounted to the battery cover at the front of the fuel tank. Drill a couple of holes in the plastic cover and Bob's yer uncle.

Pirate's Lair

Check out Pirate's Lair. They have several GPS mounting options. Got to the 1200/1300 area and scroll down.

Someone gave me a BMW Zumo and it came with this mount which I did not use. BMW sold a small tank bag to work with this mount.

Another mount I used was the top half of a Ram handlebar mount.
I used this on place of the top half of the cluth lever clamp.

There's a plug to power the GPS under the battery cover.
You can see it circled in red. It will have a black cover which you can see laying on top of the battery.
BMW sells a mate to this plug which you attach to the GPS power cord.

Thanks for this GPS power source info, Lee...….I never knew it was there, (hope it's on the 2005 I'm picking up), because it definitely saves me a bit of work,

And I'm sure to follow the leads given here for mounting points .:thumb
