After enjoying my R75 and R80 many years ago, I have been wanting to get back into biking and have had my eyes on a 1200RT. Finally bought a 2013 from an ad on the BMWMOA website. A great bike…and a fair deal. The problem is that my body is so uncomfortable that I ache after just sitting on it. I’ll be 76 in 6 days and I suspect that has something to do with it. So, I’ve struggled with should I try stretching exercises…I go to the gym 6 days a week….but still have a problem with positioning my legs and rear end on this beautiful machine. After just a week, I’ve concluded that this was a mistake…not because of the bike, but because of my physical body…is not what it used to be..
It just turned 33k miles. Runs and looks like new. A few extras include Cee Baily Wind screen, enlarged stand top, Seering tail lights. My email is woodenforms@yahoo.com, cell is 704-999-3959. Also on Facebook. Home is Granite Falls NC, 28630 . contact me for more photos.
Thanks for listening to an old timer…I just rode a 400 cc scooter today…it fits ..!!! ..I feel young again…

Hi Ed, sounds like you have things sorted out. Scooters can be a very enjoyable way to enjoy motorcycling.
It sounds like you are offering your RT for sale. The place for this type of post is in the Marketplace.
Your current post, as it stands, would sit here on the forum for ever as there is no cleanup. Essentially, you could have someone trying to contact you a year from now.
I’ll close this and delete the thread later.
If you need further assistance, you can contact me via the PM system.
Good luck.
Gary
