This happened 20something years ago with ID badges. I remember looking at a suzuki and thinking it must be Supermans' car.
When the Dodge Ram went with the big fenders and grille around 2000, I thought wow..thats different.
Then I bought one anyways, the newest Ram is losing the fender look, but all the new truck models have the large grill look.
Hope the 2020 RT doesn't follow the car side
