New to me '97 K1100LT, but what is it?

    Hi all.

Excited about my new purchase. Does anyone know what distinguishes a standard '97 K11LT from an SE or Highline?

    Thanks,
    Jer

Go to https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/bikes/bmw4.html and scroll down. You can pull up specs on all three and compare for yourself.

    Hi DG,

Thanks for the link! I had not found that one with all the Oogle searches I've done. Appears that the Highline is for the right year
and paint job (Aspen Silver Night - silver on black), but mine doesn't have the chrome heads. That's what's throwing me.

    Have fun,
    Jer

What do the years in that link represent? Year of introduction? I think the basic K1100LT ran from 1989 to 1999.

I believe that the special editions said "special edition" on the tachometer face.

Not definition in the column, but sure appears to be year of intro. I read somewhere that post '97s were non-us market.
