How can I open a closed saddlebag with no push button lock/latch?

I recently bought a replacement left saddlebag from a wrecked bike to replace mine that was damaged in an accident.

It showed up closed with the latch in the locked position. There is no locking mechanism for the key, which is usually the push button to unlatch it.

Any ideas on how to get it open? I'm stumped.

Sleep in the trees and keep your knees in the breeze.

Though I haven't had this problem, I'd think you could take an object and insert it into the bottom of the cylinder socket and push with a downward force. Just as if the lock cylinder were in place.

    Solved.

The handle, which was in the removal position, had to be adjusted so that the latch would disengage.
