Mysterious Hole Machined in Engine Block

Hello All,
I was poking around my 2018 GSA and noticed a machined hole in the engine case. It is a blind whole with a threaded hole right next to it. There is a matching hole hole on the other side of the case. It appears that the hole and flat surface has been machined after the engine case was painted. I'm throwing this out here to see if anyone know the purpose of this hole. It looks like something should go in there. Photo attached.

The blind hole just behind the oil sight window that is not painted black on your bike is right under the bottom red dot of the 2 holding fixtures used to secure the engine during assembly.

Makes sense.

The small threaded hole may be for the spoiler bracket.
