Windshield will not go up to remove satnav

HI there everyone

I am having an issue with my K1600 GT SE, when i press the button on the dash to remove the satnav, the top of the satnav holder comes up but the windshield does not move up unless i use the button on the handlebars.

Has this happened to anybody? if so what was it?

That’s correct, satnav button has no connection to windshield
Going up. Bike ing.switch must be on and handlebar switch to up position.
 
According to at least one manual, pressing the compartment button should raise the windshield automatically:

yes it has a sensor that should bring the windshield up.


Its at the BMW garage for 3 weeks now and they dont know what it could be. The bike is under warranty and as it is winter here in uk.... let it be!!

I just wonder if any of you knew about this?

Hi,

I tried it on my 2018 K1600GTL and it works fine. I tried it with the engine running and just with the contact on both ways the cover came up together with the windshield. Hope they find the issue?
