    New F Series seats

My wife and I currently ride 2014 F800GS/700GS respectively. I have a Russell saddle that makes the bike a day-long pleasure to ride. One drawback is that it raises the seat height a bit on an already tall bike (F800GS). I am interested in the new F series and wondered if my existing Russell saddle will fit on the new F Series. I can put my seat on my wife's F700GS as well. I doubt the new "Comfort" seat will match the Russell saddle. I guess I have a similar question about the side cases and topcase. Ours are in fine shape so I'd like to skip buy a new set if I can.

Anyone been able to check this?

What with the bikes having entirely different gas tank locations (yours being under the seat) I would think it extremely unlikely that the seat will fit the new bikes.

Is it possible to compare part numbers from say, the MAX BMW parts microfiche, or perhaps ask Russell?

The marketing talks state no carry over of parts to the all new 850 so I would not expect the seats to be even close to fitting. The cases are also different since the exhaust has switched sides. Its possible a top case may still work.

I can't wait to retire and have a fixed income. The one I have now is always broke.

Not even close. This is the underside of the F850GS seat.

Dang. After my post I realized the exhaust had moved to the other side. Oh well. Get out the check book I guess.

My wife started out with a 2009 F650GS and moved to a F700GS. Handguards ,cases, gps mount, engine guards, centerstand could be moved to the F700GS. The F650GS worked very well and the F700GS was an improvement but her new F750GS is a tremendous improvement. Nothing from the F700GS transferred to the new bike including the ability to use my GS911. The new F750GS low seat height is higher than the F700GS low.
It's going to be a long winter, we had a chance to buy a 2019 F750GS low but were only able to put 30 miles on it before winter set in.
