Just returned from NJ. Leaving Fl I, always go N on I 75 to Atlanta visit my Son head east on I 85 to I 26
Stop in Hendersonville NC visit another friend . Take I26 where the fun riding begins although an interstate it is hilly and twisty hooks up to I 81 which also is a great ride yea trucks abound but a lot better than I 95.
This route brings you into the back door of NJ hooking up to I 78. Yea I head to Belle Mead on the back roads and visit another friend from High School. Leaving there taking RT 206 to 295 N to I 95 S to Deleware RT 896 to 301 S thru Deleware into Md going S on 301 into Va then go S on RT 17 a Beautifull Road some small back roads down to Matthews Va to yep visit yet again. From there the back roads thru Va to 258 in NC to 95 S.About 2900 miles all together really to me a Great ride.Been the same RT 8 times never gets old.

There are some wonderful 2 lane roads that parallel I-81 in Virginia.. both east or west of 81.. I much prefer them if I'm not in a rush (which I try never to be on a motorcycle..)
