I am now a proud owner of a 2017 RT. My old bike was a 2009RT. I am wondering what type of side view mirrors to get. I had some on the 09 but they do not seem to fit on the new one. Any suggestions on this additions or any other? Thank you.

Found this thread but don't know what year the poster's RT was. Mentioned in the thread were K1200RS mirrors.

Neither of those links are the same model. The first link was originally posted in 2008 so it can't be the same and I don't recognize the tank as being a wethead in the second link.

I've been thinking about getting the following from Wunderlich http://www.wunderlichamerica.com/motorcycle/3272971.html or http://www.wunderlichamerica.com/motorcycle/21211102.html or the equivalent BMW part from a waterhead GS to make it easier to mount mirrors.

Not what you want to hear, but I have a 2017 R1200RT as well. I have no problem with the stock BMW mirrors on RTs from 1995 through 2017. They are all I need.

Jeff, Do you ever ride with a duffel bag of camping gear or other stuff across the passenger seat? Doing so raises the question of rearward visibility for some people. This was brought up in one of the earlier referenced threads.

I've ridden that way and the stock mirrors worked for me. Then again, I have mine set to each side mirror shows me what's in the lane beside me, not the sides of my bike (because what are the chances that there's a car or something hiding right next to your bike that you can't see at least partially in the lane next to you). To look directly behind me, I need to move around a bit, but I'm usually trying to see the adjacent lanes rather than directly behind.
