Things I should be aware of with the '07GS

ARM74

I work too hard....
Hello All-

Apologies if this has been covered in the past, but are there any issues I should be aware of on the 2007 R12GS? I've located a nice GS locally and want to know what to look for before I pull the trigger. My '07 KGT has the "typical" issues and I wonder which carry over the the R models.

I presume the fuel strip is a problem (not unlike on my GT). What about the cam-chain tensioner? ABS module fault? Rear wheel flange?
NHTSA shows a few recalls, but again, I'd like to go into a purchase prepared.

Any insight you can provide is much appreciated. Bullet points will do if you're not interested in going on a long rant. :)

Cheers!

As mentioned, the rear wheel flange.

The fuel pump assy where the QC female screws into tank. A campaign is still in effect to inspect/replace due to cracking.
The FPC module on top of same fuel pump due to its horizontal orientation has allowed pooled water to corrode and fail. The newer unit is anodized black, the original bare aluminum.

The ABS pump is not the wizzy model used in previous models...only an occasional stuck motor brush that can be repaired by Module Masters. Not as common an issue, so not a deal breaker.

Fuel strip...well, some work, some do not, some repeat offenders including my 09GSA
