Thanks to all here who answered my questions on the K1300s model. I bought a used 2015 K1300s motorsport's edition from Bloodworth in Nashville yesterday. Unfortunately I have not been able to really ride it due to the rain deluge from the tropical storm in the gulf which will not clear out until Tuesday. I have however been busy researching farkles for the bike. First purchase was a center stand kit from Bob's BMW. Second purchase was replacement LED headlight bulbs. I had hoped to find the BMW sport bags at a decent price but no luck there :scratch. Is there a good alternative to the OEM BMW side cases? The reason I don't want to spring for the expensive OEM cases is that most of my traveling will be on my 2016 R1200GT.

Some have used Givi but to me they don't fit the style of the bike as well as the Sport Cases.
Also the Givi mounts are more noticeable than the BMW mounts when the bags are not mounted.

One alternative is to use the BMW Small Softbag 3. It slips over the rear rack and is held in place with two quick release straps.

Congrats on the new purchase. :thumb

If you're looking for luggage that would work over a long weekend, you might try the SW-Motech Blaze system. High quality product. Not sure if they make a mounting kit for the 1300 but there's a set on the Marketplace right now asking $250.
