Hot on the 2013 R1200RT, need more breeze help

went to the Finger lakes, ride up was too hot, wore the wrong gear instead of mesh just a regular vented jacket. Not enough air getting past the windshield to hit the Jacket vents both on the arms and body

DOES ANYONE know of deflectors that can be added that don't :)make it look like a goldwing

Help me I am a old and hot rider.:dance
 
I'm looking forward to responses on this. I've always lusted after the RT, but the excellent wind protection would be an issue for me. Vermonters melt when they can't cool down.
 
In hot weather, I keep thinking of the now-discontinued Baker-Built Air Wing, which pivoted to draw in or deflect air. It seems that I should be able to fabricate something similar, but right now, the shop is too hot to think.

Once the temperature is in the upper 90's, we might be better off with the wind blocked, just as a a solid fabric jacket is cooler and less dehydrating than mesh.

Anybody try simply removing the windshield?
 
Why not try a shorter and/or narrower windshield?

I have a now-no-longer-available "sport" windshield from Cee Bailey on my '09 R12RT that I use in the summer. When down it allows a lot of wind flow, when up a bit it's relatively quiet.

I also have a C-B sport shield for my 2013 that I use down here in Florida from May thru October. Way more air flow, still adequate rain protection in the raised position and it looks good. Cal-Science makes a shorter one I think or find a used standard unit and start cutting an inch at a time from it until you get what you want.
