Givi V46 Top Case too far forward!

Recently moved my Givi V46 Top Case from my old 2013 F800GT to my new 2016 R1200R. The case fit perfectly on the old F800 with back rest for my 2-up passenger. When the case was installed on the R1200R using the bracket Givi makes for the R1200R, the backrest is now about 3 inches too far forward making the pillion un-usable. Does anyone know if there's an offset adapter or a quick fix. Thanks!
