Front engine oil leak r1150rt

Time to check tension on alternator belt. There is an oil streak below the cover;
behind the item that the cover attaches to. The leak shows up at the bottom of the engine.

I don't know where this comes from, not too excited about removing the cover with
the dozen or so star bolts.

Is this something I NEED to do, or just a mark after the 4300mile trip in the heat
on a 2004 R1150RT with 42000 miles.

Thank you

I've had just a little seepage down there for a few years... no biggie, just make sure those Torx bolts that hold the front engine cover are snugged on down.
