    Aux rear lights 2011 RT

Would like to add a rear light to my RT and would like input as to types installed by members and quality comments. Volo, Admore etc. I know we all own BMW's but the light does not have to be the most expensive just good quality and effective and fairly easy to install.
    Thanks all for your replies.

The Skeens are REALLY effective. Once in a while mine get de-programmed - due to my starting the bike wrong. I can tell almost immediately since cars then pull up much closer to me. Once I reset it to flash-go-to-solid - they stop the usual 20' or so behind me.

I've ridden with both Skene and Admore - both are easy to install and much better/brighter than your stock lamps. I like the option to integrate turn signals and change the flashing sequence, both Skene and Admore allow that.

Used Skene for years and really like them. Put on Admore in spring to judge both. Like the Admore amber turn signal flash option and will stay with this set up. It comes down to preference, both companies make a fine product and either will keep you safer in traffic.

I've been very pleased with my Skene lights for several years. My sweetie has them on her motorcycle, too. The little 'conspicuity flicker' that they emit really does draw the eye. I'm sure that there are other very good options, I just don't have experience with them. I believe that Clearwater makes a similar kind of light. I'd consider that, too, if I was in the market.

Aux rear lights / Whelen Strip Light

In the future, I am thinking of getting one of these from Whelen. http://www.fleetsafety.com/whelen-st...r-motorcycles/ I saw how effective they are on the rear of the county PD motor units. Pretty impressive.

I have Skenes on the front (white only) and would consider the P3 set up with out a top case to mount the Whelen bar.

    Cheers,

    Cheers,
I ran the Whelen strip light on a couple of bikes for many years. It is great and includes everything you need for the rear - tail, stop, and turn. Brightness and reliability were up to public safety standards - which is Whelen's primary business.

Here it is on my Honda NC700 as the complete rear lighting (not auxiliary). This bike is using a red PSR00XRR on each side for side running lights and turn signals. The rear is a PSRASXCR stop-tail-turn. Prior to that, the PSRASXCR was on my R1150R under a luggage rack as well.

I have run Skene on the front and just put Skene P3+turn signals+decelerometer. Don't let the diminutive size fool you, they really put out and people definitely see them.
