Engine counter weight

So I'm fixing my buddy's bike the seal is leaking on the counter weight so when I was taking it of I lost track of the timing on the weight it has keys to locate it but it appears it could be put on 180 off.does it need to be timed and if do how do you time it.i think I know how it came of but it's a lot of work if I'm wrong.thank you for looking Steve Bartz this is a r1200 gs 2011

the locating tabs on the weight are asymmetrical...meaning it will only go on one way....or so the manual reads....AND, an NEW special bolt needs to be torqued to 10Nm and then 90° more....
