Is there a way to find out if my particular bike is affected? A VIN number range, for instance?

For your bike, try entering your VIN here: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls

or go here:https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls?nhtsaI...000&refurl=rss, to download a PDF with links to more general info about the recall.

Notices to owners of affected bikes will be sent August 7.
