What is the WOTL for new tire choice for R1150RT?

Trying to find a set of PR 5’s for my ‘03 R1150RT. Seems that Michelin does not make the rear size.

What is the WOTL for the tire of choice? My speed demon days are past....now mileage and safety and road grip are my criteria.

Thanks...

When I wanted to replace the PR2s on my 1996 rt with the PR4s I couldn’t find them in the 18” rear so I called Michelin and found they don’t make them in the 4s or 5s and they recommended the PR3s. I liked the 2s so I’m sure the 3s will be as good.

After running Pilot Roads since the 2 series, I just switched to the Dunlop Roadsmart 3's. I haven't run Dunlops in years and wouldn't have tried these save for very good reviews and, at the time, a $75 rebate. They don't give up anything to the Pilot Road 4's...

I don't think you can go wrong simply by shopping price between the Michelin Pilot Road 4/5's; the Metzeler Roadtec 01, the Pirelli Angel GT, the Continental RoadAttack 2 Evo, or the Dunlop Roadsmart 3's. They are all more capable than most of us are.

I ride an ‘02 R1150RT. As of last summer I’ve been riding on Metzler Roadtec 01’s. I’ve been very happy with their performance. I can’t really offer a fair comparison between the Metzler and the latest Michelin tires. My last set of Michelin tires were the PR2’s. The Metzlers are really great though and I definitely recommend them.
