Is there a rally app this year?

I got an email that the Rally app is available. I downloaded it and I have a question. Why do I have to register to use it? What are the organizers going to do with my email address? And why do I have to create yet another password to add to my collection?
 
I like to check in to the app regularly, and see the latest pictures that have been posted.

Looks like Jack Riepe may have even found himself a lady friend. Amazing!

150 meg download and now you get to look at dinky pictures!!! Better than a sharp stick in the eye..... :ha

rally app not work ?

Intro page blinks on not long enough to read then blinks blank to infinate refresh indicator
 
If you're there at the rally, I suspect that someone at the computer/phone charger/wifi section on site could help you.
 
I'm hoping there will be some more posters, to the App, or the Forum as people arrive home.
