I just bought a K1600 GTL. I've been riding a Goldwing for the last 8 years. I was going to by the new 2018 Goldwing. I rode one and loved it.......until I finally rode a K1600 GTL. I was only about 800 ft down the road on the test drive and I knew I was NOT going to buy the new Goldwing.

Anyway, we and the GTL are part timers in the Franklin NC area. Would love to meet and ride with other riders.

Congrats on GTL 1600

Congratulations on the purchase of the GTL 1600. It is a great bike. I ended up choosing the RT over the GTL based on my personal preferences. However, the GTL 1600 can really fly.

Welcome to the Forums! That K1600 will keep you happy.

Some of us were over at Fontana Village for the BMW MOA Getaway Weekend back in April. We wandered down NC28 to Franklin and found ourselves in a great restaurant: "Ms. Lois." We had a great breakfast there, and like it so much, came back the next day for, of course, breakfast. Nice place, great people and great food! We liked Franklin too.
