There will be an off road training component, but not a GS Giant event.

There will be a GS Giants camping area at the rally and a meet & greet there on Friday evening at 7pm. Sharon Ernest is hosting. Just look for the flags and people having fun.

The big party is in West Virginia after Des Moines and continues at the BMW RA “Canyons and Endless Curves” rally in PA. You can expect great food, drink and a ton of fun with new and old friends alike. There will be an adventure track at the RA rally where you can practice what you learn in the free advriding training from the best riders in the community.

There are multiple Gypsy Tour rides to the event, one will be starting in Des Moines, so you can take an adventuresome ride with your new friends.

The GS Giants have been the largest group in attendance at the MOA rally for the past few years, not sure about this year. But one thing for sure... you don’t have to be a big dog to ride with us, in fact we welcome beginners, and if you ride with the Giants you’re in for a big (and unforgettable) time!

You are invited... all the info is available at GSGiants.com

Go soothingly through the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

Smile GS Gypsy Tour from the MOA Rally in DSM

Hello from Ames (40 miles north of the fairgrounds),

I didn't step back quickly enough and somehow volunteered to lead and GS Giants that care to travel with me to the WV Mountain Mayhem GS Giant rally.

Here is what I sent our GS "Queen" that is posted on the GS Giant forum ( https://mms.gsgiants.com/members/forum/forum2.php? )on what I currently have planned for the trip to WV.

    Description:
Day 1 Saturday 14 July, 500 miles, camping at the Indianapolis KOA ( https://koa.com/campgrounds/indianapolis/ ) (Google Map: https://goo.gl/maps/XbuYt3UCCfx) Secondary roads avoids most big cities/towns.

Day 2 Sunday 15 July, 500 miles, Depart as early as possible. We can slab it on I-70 to Zanesville then ride down OH 555 aka "Triple Nickel" or"The Ohio Tail of the Dragon". (Google Map: https://goo.gl/maps/Lgi2Hb4MSh52 ). Finally, ride the back roads to Milleson's Walnut Grove.
Once the date gets closer, I will make the reservations at the KOA and use the MOA discount. Price per rider should be around $12 for the night (depending on how many riders are in the group). The KOA will have food available as well as local restaurants nearby. People are welcome to bring their own camp food as well.

Because we have 2 x 500 mile days, the riding will be on secondary roads, no gravel roads planned at this time. Rider level? Intermediate to beginner.

These are a couple long days of slabbing it. But I figured that put us in WV on Monday for a day of "adventure" riding before most of the other Giants arrive.

I'll be at the MOA Rally on Wed. afternoon to help set up. I am setting up my tent in the GS area.

    Question

Is the Giants "camping" at the MOA... in a Section/Area, of the "Club / Group Camping" that will be designated?

I knew you wouldn’t miss that. The only wish is that it worked as well as vBulletin or xenforum!

I know very little about this, as it’s being run by other volunteers... and I am unable to come to the MOA rally.

From what I hear there will be some space for the Giants in the club camping area. They won’t be hard to find... just look for the flags with the GS Giants logos!
