GTL Exclusive trunk removal

I have a 2014 GTL Exclusive. I know the GTL trunk is removable but on the exclusive the radio/satellite antenna are integrated in the trunk. There is still the disconnect in the bottom of the trunk and the quick disconnect under the seat, but there are wires routed along side the wires to the quick disconnect that have no obvious way of disconnecting. Has anyone come up with a way of removing this trunk and still having the radio and XM radio work?

I have removed mine several times for maintenance but you lose all radio/satellite reception. I too have been curios if the is some sort of plug in antenna that could be fitted to the back of the radio.
